Government Technology Conference Best Solutions Awards Announced
SACRAMENTO, CA – Government Technology Conference (GTC), the largest and most respected technology conference for state and local government, today announced its Best Solutions Award winners for its 17th annual West 2003 conference. GTC West is being held at the Sacramento Convention Center in Sacramento, California, May 12 - 16.
The winning solutions are as varied as there are problems. Solutions include assistive computer technology that allows people with quadriplegia to golf right beside their able-bodied counterparts on an actual golf course; Web-based Training for Caltrans; and the City of Long Beach’s Pine Avenue HotZone where residents can access the Internet for free while dining on the sidewalk patio of their favorite Pine Avenue restaurant.
The Best Solutions Award is given to companies who have created a solution specifically for a customer or in partnership with a customer, either public or private. These solutions have resulted in significant benefits - saved time, money or headaches - and are worthy of recognition.
